Shipping and Returns
Last updated 22 October 2026
This policy applies to goods supplied by Uniq Exports LLC and forms part of our Terms and Conditions. The order confirmation for each order sets out the specific Incoterm, shipping method and estimated dates.
1. Incoterms offered
- FOB (Free On Board), named Chinese port. We deliver the goods cleared for export on board the vessel nominated by the Buyer. Risk passes when the goods are on board.
- CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight), named destination port. We arrange and pay for sea freight and minimum cover cargo insurance to the destination port. Risk passes when the goods are on board at origin.
- DAP (Delivered At Place), named destination. We arrange carriage to the named place. Risk passes when the goods are made available to the Buyer, ready for unloading. Import clearance, duties and import taxes are for the Buyer's account.
All Incoterms refer to Incoterms 2020.
2. Shipping methods
We ship by sea, as full container or consolidated less than container load, and by air. Smaller orders can be consolidated with other shipments to reduce freight cost.
3. Lead times
Lead times depend on product, quantity and factory capacity, and are confirmed in each order confirmation. As a general guide:
- Sampling: usually 7 to 21 days from agreed specification.
- Production: usually 25 to 45 days from deposit and approved sample.
- Sea transit: usually 25 to 40 days to the United States, United Kingdom or European Union, depending on route.
- Air freight: usually 5 to 10 days.
Lead times are estimates. We tell the Buyer promptly of any expected delay.
4. Pre shipment inspection
Goods are inspected against the approved sample and written specification before the balance payment is due. The Buyer receives photographs, measurements and a summary of findings. Where the goods do not conform, they are reworked or replaced before shipment, at no cost to the Buyer.
5. If goods do not match the specification on arrival
The Buyer must inspect the goods within 14 days of delivery to the named place, or of arrival at the destination port where delivery is FOB or CIF. Claims for non conformity, shortage or damage must be notified to us in writing within that window.
6. How to raise a claim
Email [email protected] with:
- the order number and shipment reference;
- a description of the problem and the quantity affected;
- photographs showing the defect, the carton markings and the labels;
- for transit damage, any notes made on the delivery receipt.
We acknowledge claims within one working day and confirm the next step within five working days. Goods subject to a claim must be kept, unused and in their packaging, until the claim is resolved. Do not return goods without our written agreement.
7. Remedies
Where a claim is accepted, we will arrange rework, replacement or a credit or refund of the price of the affected goods, as set out in our Terms and Conditions. Where goods are returned at our request, we pay the return freight.
8. Transit damage and insurance
Damage in transit after risk has passed to the Buyer is claimed against the carrier or the cargo insurer. Where we arranged insurance under CIF terms, we will provide the documents needed to make that claim and assist with it.
9. Change of mind
Goods are made to the Buyer's specification. We do not accept returns of conforming goods for change of mind.
