How we work

The full process, in order.

Every order follows the same eight stages. Nothing ships until it has passed inspection and the paperwork has been checked.

  1. Brief

You give us the product, the target specification, the quantity, the destination and your target landed cost. Drawings, reference samples or competitor listings all help. The clearer the brief, the more accurate the quotes.

  2. Sourcing

We approach several factories rather than one. Quotes are compared on total landed cost, which includes unit price, packaging, freight and expected duty, not unit price alone. The cheapest factory gate price is often not the cheapest delivered product.

  3. Sampling

Samples are made and sent to you for approval before any production order is placed. Sample and courier costs are quoted upfront. Where a factory agrees, the sample cost is credited against the first production order, and we confirm this in writing before you pay.

  4. Production

Payment terms are agreed in writing before production starts. We monitor progress with the factory and share the production timeline with you, along with any change to it as soon as we know.

  5. Inspection

Before the balance is paid, goods are checked against the approved sample and the written specification. You receive photographs, measurements and a summary of any defects found. If the goods do not match, they are corrected before they ship.

  6. Documentation

We prepare the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, plus destination specific documents where required. Everything is checked against the goods and the order before departure.

  7. Shipping

We quote FOB, CIF and DAP terms. Goods move by sea or by air depending on volume and urgency, and smaller orders can be consolidated to reduce cost.

  8. After delivery

Your point of contact stays the same person. Questions about the delivery, claims or the next order go to someone who already knows your product.

Payment terms

Agreed in writing before production.

Before any production order, we confirm in writing the price, the Incoterm, any deposit, what triggers the balance payment and the expected shipping date.

We work on telegraphic transfer and letter of credit. Payment is made to Uniq Exports LLC, never to an individual or an unverified third party account.

If our bank details ever appear to change, confirm by phone on a number you already hold before paying.
